This is the actual Narconon of Georgia license hearing, whereas the other one from last month was to be the Pur-O-Cleanse, errr, New Life Detoxification Program hearing.

This is the big one.  I think.

I,d make plans to attend, but would be rather frustrated if I got there and found out it had been postponed. Anyway of finding out beforehand?

The last one was marked closed about a week before it was to happen, IIRC.

I did a little net search on what Judge Amanda Baxter does in her current position.

http://ftpcontent.worldnow.com/wgcl/finalrule.pdf

In doing that search I came across this. Has some interesting information some may not be aware of.

Correct.  It would seem they agreed to pay the fine in order to have the hearing was taken off the calendar.

Amazing, huh?  Its almost like - with the (real) media and RFTTP, WWP, Tony Ortega, ex-Scientologists worldwide, etc., etc., watching like circling hawks - they just don't to allow any of these issues to be further aired out in any public forums.

It's not just with the hawks watching - they've always tried to prevent any cases from going to trial, except the cases they brought.  Even in some of those, if they could badger the defendant into doing what they wanted (keeping quiet, usually), they'd drop them too, unless they wanted to make an example of the person.

In the light, the cockroaches scurry for a hiding place.

Sunshine disinfects.

I'm eager to see what happens with this hearing.   :)

Let's hope this hearing actually happens and Narconon of Georgia is shut down.

In 2006-2007, there was a previous appeal by Narconon of Georgia for a license revocation by the DHR, which was then in charge of licensing.  It never got to the hearing stage - it was settled in early 2007.  Here is how I believe they wiggled out of it, then:

See the last 2 sentences - this was written at the time the 2006 appeal was in progress:

It seems they're going to put up a fight, which ought to make for an interesting spectator event, if nothing else.
