Halloween activities!
« on: November 01, 2009, 09:34 »
We coordinated ... we gathered ... we swarmed upon the drive entrance at Narconon Georgia.

Of course we needed to prepare.  Cake must be made before it is eaten!

Who's in this web of deceit?

So on we went to Narconon!

Some, claiming to be students, stopped by to talk.

After, we filtered over to a local area to flier, and raise awareness against the cult.

Saw some interesting things at Narconon and L5P.  The idea to pass out candy with the yftc cards seemed to have been a good one and lots of people happily accepted free sweets and did seem to look at the cards as well.  Thanks to Raven for babysitting me and joining me for pizza when the Vortex wouldn't let me back in. :-D

Additional but most lousy pictures from my camera.

Part of the group of youngish people who asked us if we had ever thought about shoving our signs in not so nice places.  Interestingly enough they took information and I think this guy even came back to talk for a bit.

As always there was delicious cake.

I decided to pluck Bob Adams off the cake for a close up.

A demonstration of Alp's marvelous cake slicing skills.

Raven and the Crow.  He was rather chatty too.

I only have two pictures of us passing cards and candy out.  The rest were too blurry or dark to do much with. :-/

I also have a very short video clip of Raven lecturing Alp not to give just candy to girls despite how short their costumes happen to be. xD;

Some NarCONon $tudents were curious and informed despite the suggestion given to us to take our signs and shove them.......well, you know where......

I love Alp! lol

Pirate handing out the candy with the cards was great!  We got a lot of info out and the taping crew did awesome too.

Ultra is an awesome speaker and I have a lot I could learn from her

Not much in the way of photos from me (and those kinda sucky compared to the pro-type camera with Stu), but here they are, including a demonstration on how to do a real "wall of text" ( :D ):

Halloween at NarCONon

Some vids, but processing those will have to wait, and they're for Raven anyway.

MOAR INFO:

One student tried to sneak down to see us and get info. He almost made it back, but then got snagged in the parking lot and I think our flier was taken from him. I told him this is a front group for scientology and he said " I already figured that out, but they have $22,000 of my money"We talked to him a bit and gave him more info than what was on the flier.

Another student who held back the original angry guy came to talk to us. He drove his car up close to us and then hoped out. He argued somethings with us and consider a few others. He proclaimed narconon was cheap compared with other rehabs. It seems they only charged him $14,000 and he had a 5% discount for paying 1 lump sum up front. He is at the 5000 dosage on niacin which to him is nothing special, and the sauna is only done for 25 minutes at a time. We talked to him about drugs aren't stored in fat, the drug counselor form narconon ga that was arrested for selling drugs, their inabiliity to pay taxes, etc. No clue if any of it sank in. He did tell us the narconon workers make very little and he viewed them as dedicated. lol Ultra pointed out the $ were going elsewhere. Ultra did great talking with him. He seemed to want to argue with me more.

Eventually the angry guy came walking down the sidewalk towards us. He had someone with him and was very calm this time. I did finally let him have a flier. I guess I rewarded his good behavior. He read the flier and asked if Patrick was our friend and I said no, but you don't have to be friends with someone in order to right the wrongs around their death. He agreed and moved on while reading.

I almost forgot!! One other lulzy thing occurred. Orignally the angry guy yelled "I hope you all know how stupid you look! " At that moment one protester raised up the sign that said "If you think I look stupid google scientology" That was perfection in my mind.

After we left the narconon van pulled up and took the students home or wherever. I would bet they waited on us to leave before they let the others out. I would of liked to have DHR there to see how unsupervised and angry some of the students/staff are.

Over all narconon is a very odd place to protest. You face your back to the narconon and its tress and shrubs. You wind up having students/staff sneak to see you and others come to see you angry while moving around all that vegetation.
However, we got a pile of honks and that was great since this is a 4 lane road with a pretty high speed limit on it. The locals are definitely used to seeing us and they support us.

I'm really tired, and my dyslexia is really acting up.  sorry for all the typos

Thanks for the synopsis. I can't wait to move back up there so I can hit the streets more often with everyone.
