Dianetics and Scientology, Narconon and New Life
« on: June 24, 2009, 18:59 »
I believe it is important to make the connection for people between Dianetics and Scientology - which are essentially the same thing, although scientologists will protest that they are not the same thing.  Perhaps, to a scientologist, they aren't, but to people on the outside, non-members, who are spoken of in derogatory terms such as "wogs" and "degraded beings," it might as well be the same.  Both are intended to fleece the unwary.

Over the years, the organization that fraudently calls itself a church, has used both names, whichever has a less bad reputation at the moment.  The local branches will be the Hubbard Dianetics Center at times, and Church of Scientology at other times.

This name-changing pattern extends to the front groups as well, with narconon now using different names for essentially the same scam - Narconon, New Life, and Second Chance are three of the names which are used to hide the connections to Scientology and Dianetics, and to each other.
