A student came to the left side of the street to get info about narconon. She talked to the protesters on that side for a bit.  While this was going on a narconon counselor was on the other side challenging us.  Eventually the student came over to our side to get some fliers.  While we were tryign to giver her info the counselor tried to grab it from her. She had to fold it up and shove it down her pants to keep it from him.  One of the protesters yelled at him not to grab the student.  I think we have footage of him yelling at her as she walked up the driveway.

We pretty much watched a counselor almost assault a student from getting a piece of paper with info on it.

After this the original counselor came back down with 2 large men with him.  They went towards the side that had to females on it.  I started yelling call 911 because of how they were approaching. As soon as that occurred the 2 new men backed down.  However the original man was furious and argued with us all. When the police showed up he argued with  them for abit too. Eventually he went inside. 

When we left to go grab lunch the white narconon van pulled out and got in front of us and a red vehicle also from narconon pulled behind us.  They seemed to have lost interest in us as we pulled in to go eat pizza.   We didn't' see them again.

The counselor seems to be an angry guy. The police really took an interest in hearing some of us out.

I got there a bit late and missed the girl asking for information and the counselor attempting to take it from her. So sad that information is not free in Narconon.

And I second that offer for video help. Y'know, if these videos look anything like Starbucks Boy from Clearwater, then ATL may have been the catalyst for the biggest footbullet Narconon has ever done! Imagine sending this to the courts, asking them why Narconon is go against letting a student read a flyer!

We did not manage to get the discussion with the student, nor, as far as I can tell, the student being manhandled, on video.

Our video problems are not something that another cook stirring the soup could help. The biggest problem is combining three different batches of video and making three different Anons happy with the result while dealing with computer HD space issues. MOAR Anons would not make the process go any faster.

SRSLY, we are super frustrated with the technical difficulties, and the pressure and constant nudges to POST VIDZ NAO! is getting irritating. I KNOW you guys are being supportive and interested and we understand and truly appreciate the enthusiasm; just know we are doing this as fast as possible and it makes me want to headdesk when we get the equivalent of an "ARE WE THERE YET?!" from the excited peanut gallery in the back seat while we're still trying to just get the car out of our driveway. So to speak. I, for one, have put other projects I wanted to get done by now on the back burner to give the videos and then the necessary editing and uploading top priority. Stu and Raven have also done little else but mess with this issue all day and all of yesterday.

Also the camera has held down during 99% of this video. The narconon student was very young and we felt it was wrong to film her. However at the end footage of her back is shown as she is taken back up the driveway being yelled at by the narconon counselor.

What I find interesting is that no matter where they are located, Narconon center spokespeople rely on the same rote defenses when people wind up sick, bankrupt, or dead ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Narconon#Controversies ) after a Narconon "treatment". Some of the same responses can be tracked when Scientology Org spokespeople are asked about deaths or illnesses or unhappy (ex-)Scientologists:

Bonus Broken Record comments here include the assertion that Scientology settled a lawsuit because the justice system is "flawed" (not because they knew they were guilty as hell), and Scientologist deaths / illnesses are "statistically insignificant."

It seems to me that it is statistically VERY significant that these dead / ill people all  have one significant thing in common: Scientology / Narconon decision-makers deliberately delayed or denied appropriate medical attention, with which the victim was likely to have survived.

Thanks for the links. It would be interesting to see from a statistical point of view, how many "Chain Rehab" BUSINESSES and may I stress the word BUSINESSES, have such a bad PR rep. NarCONon being a nationwide BUSINESS does seem to corner the negative press when it comes to deaths/resivitism (hope i spelled that right) and bad business dealings.

What is worse, with Narconon's deceptive web presence they are the first organization that worried parents and vulnerable people with a substance abuse problem will find doing a net search. Narconon does not willingly reveal its connection to Scientology.
