Are we sure about this one? It appears that medications are given for detox, as needed. No specifics are found on that topic, however.

The link was posted by a Sci-sounding shill chiming in with the standard Co$ anti-pharma jab in the comments section for this article: http://www.missoulian.com/news/state-and-regional/article_eabe2c3e-0213-11df-828e-001cc4c002e0.html

Not knowing that the comments section required some HTMLing (line breaks in particular), my addition to the comments section looks a bit odd, and in retrospect I could've worded it better.

Very sure. Its Don Delgado approved. I find Face Book to be a treasure trove of interlinked cult activities.

It is rather odd, that Most of the staff are scientologists, yet the use of (buprenorphine) within their opioid treatment protocol has me a little flummoxed to say the least. Buprenorphine has several uses, including use within the psychiatric community.

More research is needed on this unusual group.

SunCoast is a chain of legitimate clinics in my area. I'm kind of annoyed that there is likely to be name brand confusion.

It might be good to make the legitimate clinic aware of the non-legitimate one using their name.  I seem to remember this discussion coming up before - something about one of the organizations wanting to add an elderly care building to their complex...

And as to Novus: http://bipolarblast.wordpress.com/2009/05/26/so-what-is-up-with-gianna/

I’m sure you’re all wondering.

I wrote this post a long time ago without outing who treated me. At the time I still thought they might actually be honest people who had simply erred in ignorance. That is still probably true for the majority of the staff, but I have now collected enough information to know they do stuff by design so that people, in general, make it out of their clinic before falling apart.

I’ve now become aware of 2 others who were at Novus Detox at the same time as I was who are now also bed bound and crippled due to the withdrawal methods used at Novus. While I was very ill before being admitted these two people WERE NOT. They fell apart due to the rapid and dangerous detox they went through at Novus.

Also I encountered someone who was also grossly abused in a very similar fashion as I was here in my home town a different state than where Novus Detox Center is. That’s a bit odd, don’t you think, since they only have a maximum of 12 people at a time and usually it’s not full to maximum. And I randomly ran into someone who also felt they almost died at Novus and had to escape in similar fashion as myself when Novus refused to treat emerging psychosis in this poor woman?

Novus Detox is hurting people by essentially cold-turkeying them off dangerous drugs that should be weaned very slowly over months and sometimes years. The recipe in the nutrient cocktail they use to allegedly mitigate withdrawal symptoms is also extremely weak and they do things in such a way as to render the most important nutrient, Glutathione, inert, while also using such a tiny amount as to be negligible in any case. This is information I found when it was too late.

I hope only to be able to stop these people from hurting others.

Novus Detox is advertised on this page: http://www.cchr-london.org/links.html and since scientology fronts do not advertise for non-scientology entities (they like to keep the money in the family), that pretty much wraps it up for me.

I also found a link to them on this site: http://pointofreturn.com/ which causes me to think that both pointofreturn.com, and this one which is also advertised: http://www.alternativetomedscenter.com/ may be two more to add to the list.

They do say this about Novus on the pointofreturn.com page:
Quote
Novus Detox is a 10 day rapid program & therefore not recommended for benzodiazepine or sleeping pill withdrawal.

Interestingly, Point of Return is a mail order rehab program.   :P

Pricing info is listed on this one:

Damn good research EC. Arizona huh! I will be listed more. Like I said, FaceBook is FULL of this stuff. Just punch in Don Delgado(Local rehab patient housing guru) on FaceBook. Then pick one of his friends, then one of their friends friends. Read the listed stores/businesses.

I stayed up till 2 a.m last night. Connecting the dots. ALL lead back to scientology in some fashion.

Staff

Director, Steve Hayes

Mr. Hayes graduated with Honors from the University of Arkansas and then with Honors from the University of San Francisco Law School. Over many years of private law practice, Steve had occasion to help people who were themselves victims of what he considered to be unscrupulous medical practitioners. After researching what was available to help people medically detox from drug or alcohol dependencies and/or addictions, Steve decided to create a facility where professional people would be comfortable. This meant private rooms, first class food, one-on-one personal attention, excellent education, natural options and ways to make someone truly drug-free, with patients that could go on to a rehab that would really help.

Medical Director, Dr. Brent Agin
Dr. Agin, our medical director, is board certified in Family Medicine. He attended medical school at the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. He completed his internship and residency at the University of South Florida College of Medicine. Experienced in counseling and detoxification for both illicit drugs and prescription medications, Dr. Agin is one of a very select group of physicians certified in buprenorphine therapy for both maintenance and rapid detox. His research in nutrition and vitamin therapy supports an important component of our detox program.

Thank you, who me, and welcome to Reaching for the Tipping Point.  At a quick first glance, it does appear to me that it could be linked with scientology and the narconons.  Do you have anything specific to point us to that makes the Hubbard link undeniable?

On the page linked:

"The process is based on the book, Clear Body Clear Mind, by L. Ron Hubbard."

I had to look quite a bit through the various pages to find any reference to Hubbard-which is why I said they seemed to be burying the link.

This is where detox for the newport beach narconon clients was being done in the past. Not sure where the clients come from now.

This company was owned by a scientologist and has changed hands a few times. Last I heard it was being managed by a scientologist who used to work for the previous owner.

I also found this so someone has picked up the connection:http://wiki.whyweprotest.net/Narconon_centers
