Freedom Magazine offends Tampa bay area residents
« on: August 04, 2009, 20:07 »
;D Having family members within the greater Tampa bay area does come with benefits. I have an actual copy of the latest Freedom mag, the so-called church of scientology forced on all the subscribers to the St Pete times.

Feed back so far, from people who are NOT aware of this insidious cult run the gamut from, "David Miscavige, is this the new Hilter? :o To out right anger that the cult has the audacity to force its crappola on people that do not have a horse in this race. Can you image the look to a locals face ::), when he or she opened their mail box, only to be exposed to David Miscaviges face on the cover of this rag and saying WTF is this ????

I personally know of one community of over 1000 people whom are very disturbed at being on the receiving end of a war of words between the St Pete times and Scientology. It is this posters opinion, whomever authorized this sci media blitz did not understand how the local community would react or care for that matter. For some time now, Scientology's presence in the greater Tampa bay area has been a detriment to both the tourist and business industry.

Oh, you lucky thing!  I still have a copy of the rebuttal  ::) they made to the Time magazine article back in 1991, but it was only a few pages, not the 80 you got!

It just goes to show how much they think the world revolves around them, and they thought everyone knew about the SP Times articles.  Not everyone did, but they do now.   :D

I started to wonder if they're ever confused that things don't go the way they wanted, and wonder if they messed up, but then, no, I realized that they just chalk it up to the rest of the world being SPs.

Does it pretty much duplicate the online version? (Caution, scientology site ahead)

Yep.

I have contacts in the Tampa Bay, St. Pete, Clearwater area, as well. No one that I know is happy with the Scn presence in Clearwater and these are just regular folks.

The Freedom Mag appears to be a major footbullet.
