I think it would behoove we concerned citizens to take the initiative at this critical time! We need access to the Sandy Springs public folder on the scientology rezoning issue as it stands today. Public interest has been gained via recent local news coverage. I feel helping our local media outlets gain more knowledge of what is transpiring on this issue would shine light on the subject and garner more attention from the local citizens.
The local press and television news outlets will not come to us. We need to go to them. I think the whole Sandy Springs folder on this matter would be a great place to start. If the citizens do not do this, i fear this chance will fade away. We must keep this issue a hot button topic within the local community.
It would be very sad to see people coming forward, after the fact so to speak, if scientology does in fact gain the zoning variances in which they seek.

This was not put up until the Friday right before the PC meeting, on the 14th, and at that time was incomplete. The date on the server of the file linked above is 8/17/2009 11:57 AM . It is my understanding that this is still not the complete package, and that additional information which was submitted at the last minute will be in the package for the Planning Commission meeting in September. At the last meeting, one of the MCC said that even they had not been able to look at the latest information.
