arrogance and scientology

Overall I like this article.  It takes into account the sci adds, the deaths they caused, disconnection, and their fake therapy.

I do find the following of particular interest:
Quote
I was once an arrogant Scientology auditor not unlike the Tom Cruise we watched on the Matt Lauer program but now I am a humble Being,

Really we all have known what scie thinks, but when Tom Cruise went nuts on tv it was a very public declaration of it.  I wonder how many people just went that's just another crazy sci and how many actually looked into things ad found out the destruction of CCHR

Arrogance, is unfortunately, a common trait amongst Scientologists, particularly those who have been "in" for years. It gets even worse, couple with a disgusting sense of entitlement with many senior Sea Org members, or those at the top of the heap at the orgs, and also a number of wealthy public members.

Scientology of course counts on members who stay for years to lose their identity, their sanity, ethics and humanity climbing Hubbards repulsive "bridge". The more abusive someone was in going in, the better they seem to do, especially if they become Executive Directors or Ethics Officers. The scum, not the cream, rises to the top. This is not an absolute, but it sure as hell is a good general rule of thumb.

I have to agree with you here.  A little over a year ago, I was contacted by a friend (actually, an ex-friend due to the disconnection policy) who had seen me at a protest.  He thought it might "help me" to get together with him, since I was obviously "so sad" because I was "still attacking" his "church." If I hadn't been so familiar with what scientology does to their members' attitudes toward non-scientologists, it would have made me angry, but I just had to shake my head at the condescending attitude he displayed.  I thought about it for a while, but decided it would serve no purpose to meet with him at that time.  I would, however, welcome him back into my life if he lost the arrogant attitude.  I hope he decides to leave someday.

Don't forget money, friends, ofttimes family, and almost always, connection to the outside world.
