This is from a transcript from "Your World With Neil Cavuto," Stuart Varney interviewed.

Quote
ANGLE: Well, I said spoiled the citizenry because what has happened is, we have allowed people to get an idea that if — they are better off if they don’t go back to work.

What we really need to have them do is take those jobs that are entry- level jobs, build up their seniority, but, in the same vein, have some kind of safety net, rather than just saying you either get unemployment or you don’t, and then they have to make the choice, because the unemployment actually pays more than the job that they can get.

Wut? Unemployment does not pay more than most paying jobs. I'm sure the many people laid off from jobs appreciate being called the "spoiled citizenry."

Quote
VARNEY: But it’s a tough and harsh message, especially in Nevada. I believe the unemployment rate there in that state, your state, is now 14 percent, highest in the nation, higher than Michigan, and you’ve got probably the worst housing situation in the nation.

You’re delivering a very tough message, which can interpreted as a very marsh message. I think that’s an uphill struggle for you.

When you have difficulty communicating your position, just say that it all applies to you......lol

Quote
VARNEY: Ms. Angle, I have just one last question. I want to try and position you on the political spectrum, if I may try to do that.

Would you say that you’re a Reagan Republican, Reagan conservative? Are you a Tea Party type person? Are you a free market economist? Are you a libertarian? Pick one of the above. Which are you closest to, if I may ask?

ANGLE: I would say that I’m all of the above. I have a volunteer that calls me Ronald Reagan in heels.

(LAUGHTER)

VARNEY: That is the last word, Ms. Angle. I’m not going near it.

SPOILED!! How can receiving 60% of my salary which by the way was at a lower rate than before make me or anyone on unemployment spoiled!! The only people in this country that are spoiled are the ones who took another recess without passing the UI extension!!!
Ms. Angle only proved to everyone that they are all useless in solving this disaster that they themselves created with their greed!
Pass the UI bill now with another tier of benefits for the millions of Americans who would love to be productive, hard working employees again!

Sharron Angle: We're going to "pursue" Harry Reid for reposting my Web site -- possibly in court

It's just Dirty Harry tricks. He's just trying to say something with that website that isn't true in the first place.

GOP candidate Angle rallies GOP against Reid
By MICHAEL R. BLOOD (AP) – 2 days ago

HENDERSON, Nev. — U.S. Senate candidate Sharron Angle on Friday denounced Majority Leader Harry Reid as a "desperate man" who was distorting her conservative record while ignoring a state that leads the nation in joblessness, foreclosures and bankruptcies.

A day after President Barack Obama delivered a mocking indictment of her candidacy at a rally in Las Vegas, Angle accused the president and Reid of pushing billions of dollars in stimulus spending while Nevada struggles with "an economy that is a disaster."

She called for repeal of the health care overhaul, lower taxes and disbanding federal agencies, including the Education Department, that she said had responsibilities that can be handled at the state level.

"I hold him personally responsible for what is happening in our nation," Angle said, referring to Reid, who is seeking a fifth term.

"Why would you believe anything he puts on television?" said Angle, who's faced a barrage of negative TV ads since winning the June 8 primary. "This man has been waterboarding our economy."

Angle's remarks come a day after Obama depicted Angle as a fringe candidate who would privatize Social Security and Medicare. Referring to Angle, Obama said "she favors an approach that's even more extreme than the Republicans we got in Washington. That's saying something."

"We don't need the fight inside our own house," warned Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele.

Angle told the crowd, "I need your help and I need a unified party."

There were conspicuous absences at the biannual event, including Rep. Dean Heller, state Senate Majority Leader Bill Raggio and Lowden, a former state GOP chair who was long considered the favorite for the Senate nomination. State Republican Chairman Mark Amodei said he was unaware of any friction related to appearances by Angle or Steele, who has faced calls for his resignation since he criticized Obama's handling of the Afghanistan war and suggested that it can't be won.

The Nevada race has become a fierce competition between dueling narratives: Angle sees Reid as responsible for the state's reeling economy and a facilitator of runaway Washington spending, while Reid's campaign has stamped Angle as a loopy extremist whose proposals place her far out of the mainstream.

New ads appeared on TV from two independent groups Friday. Patriot Majority, funded largely by labor unions, lances Angle for her statement that it would not be her job as senator to create jobs. Angle has said she would work to create a business-friendly environment where companies grow and expand their payrolls. "Just another bad idea from Sharron Angle," a narrator says.

Americans for New Leadership, a political committee formed this week, is running an ad that defends Angle and calls Reid's ads "a lie." The Nevada-based group hasn't filed federal records yet disclosing the source of its funding. Its website says it backs candidates who support limited government.

Angle says she has GOP support
By Sean Collins Walsh • swalsh@rgj.com • July 13, 2010

Quote
U.S. Senate candidate Sharron Angle said Monday that she has the full support of the Nevada Republican Party, fending off attacks about her ability to mobilize the party's mainstream base.

"Even though I'm not going to change my message, and I'm not going to change my stand on any of the issues -- and I haven't changed my stand on any of my issues -- they're with me," Angle said. "The whole party is with me."

Gee, I thought she already changed her message and her entire website.

....
Quote
The Reid campaign keeps a list on its website of Nevada Republicans who have publicly supported the incumbent.

Angle said this group of conservatives support Reid because they receive favors in the form of senatorial earmarks.

"When you look at those Republicans for Reid, they have a vested interest in Reid, or Reid has a vested interest in them," she said. "I'm not sure exactly how lets-make-a-deal Harry has been able to work that with them."

Reno Mayor Bob Cashell, a Republican for Reid, campaigned with the senator last week.

"Cashell said it best," Angle said. "He said he's supporting Harry Reid because he brings home the bacon."

When asked for comment, Cashell said he did not recall making that statement.

"I hope she means he brings home the bacon to the city of Reno and the state of Nevada," Cashell said. "He does help us with projects, the train tracks, the airport."

A representative from the Reid campaign said Republicans support the senator because he "has a long history of working across the aisle to do what's best for Nevada."

"Republicans are running from Sharron Angle in droves because they want nothing to do with her extreme and dangerous agenda, which is far outside the mainstream even within her own party," Reid spokesman Kelly Steele said in an e-mail Monday.

Since her primary victory, Angle has toned down the wording of many of her views.

"I've had to rephrase a lot of my rhetoric just because it's been so taken out of context and so misinterpreted," she said Monday. "We don't feel that the press is nearly as friendly to our side or our point of view as they are to the other side's point of view."

For Herzik, Angle's shift in rhetoric is a consequence of her need to appeal to the general electorate.

"She has spent much of her political life speaking to very friendly audiences and often used more heated rhetoric," he said. "And that's coming back to haunt her."

Oh, she just rephrased it. That's different.  ::)

Nevada press: "Sharron Angle is dead"
Harry Reid has successfully painted his opponent as kooky and crazy (it helps that she actually is)

By Alex Pareene

Quote
With multiple polls showing Harry Reid with a lead, including last Friday's Mason-Dixon survey that had him up seven points, Nevada political journalist Jon Ralston is declaring Republican challenger Sharron Angle dead.

Reid had the wherewithal to go negative hard and early, and to define Angle as kooky and extreme. Of course, he was helped in this effort by the fact that by most conventional measures, Sharron Angle is actually kooky and well outside the mainstream, even for Nevada.

She really does want to eliminate Social Security. That is a very popular position at GOP-affiliated think tanks in Washington, DC, but not among anything resembling a majority of voters in any state. She really did support a prison drug rehab program developed by the Church of Scientology. She really did vote against water fluoridation because of paranoid fears of imagined toxins. She really does support the Oath Keepers. She is a paranoid far-right modern-day Bircher.

It's not a bird. It's not a plane. That worried-looking blur reporters keep seeing in Nevada is Republican Senate candidate Sharron Angle. Her new signature move is to (almost) literally sprint away from the press.

Angle, a Tea Party favorite, was completely candid about her views during the Republican primary. She revealed that she wants to abolish the departments of Education and Energy, the Environmental Protection Agency, and a lot of the Internal Revenue Service. Angle also believes in phasing out Social Security, and perhaps banning alcohol. She has backed a Scientology-based drug-rehab program and thinks the U.S. should leave the U.N. because the latter "has been captured by the far left." Last, but by no means least controversial, she has called for armed revolution against the very political body she seeks to join.

Since winning the GOP primary to challenge Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in the November elections, Angle has deliberately avoided facing the press, except Fox News and conservative interviewers, presumably for fear that they will ask her to explain her unusual positions.

The strategy has not worked flawlessly. She received heavy media coverage for telling a conservative radio host that a (hypothetical) 13-year-old, raped and pregnant by her father, should keep the baby and make "a lemon situation into lemonade."

And, with the press clamoring to ask her questions at every opportunity, she has been forced to develop a new move, which we are calling the Obtuse Angle. On two occasions Angle has almost literally run away from reporters.

In mid-June she escaped from local TV reporter Nathan Baca who was determined to press her on the issues she outlined in the primary. The footage shows a blurry, nervous Angle moving very fast toward her car. Yesterday's video, from another campaign appearance in Reno, is even more stark. As soon as she sees reporters approaching, Angle turns and bolts from a building, without a word spoken. (We recommend setting it to this music.)
