Is Tom Cruise's Daughter Quitting Scientology? - TheCelebrityCafe.com
10 August 2010, 8:57 am

Tom Cruise’s daughter Bella wants to get out of the Cruise household as soon as possible. He and ex-wife Nicole Kidman adopted in 1992; they also adopted son Connor Anthony, who played a young Will Smith in Seven Pounds and will play a role in this year’s Red Dawn.

Isabella allegedly wants to live with her mother, Nicole Kidman because she does not want to be a part of the Church of Scientology. She plans on moving from Los Angeles to Nashville, Tennessee, with Kidman and her husband Keith Urban when she turns eighteen in December.

An insider told “Look” Magazine, “It seems like Bella may have had enough of the tough rules she has to live by as a Scientologist and she’s told Nicole she wants to move in with her, Nicole’s thrilled, but Tom desperately hopes she changes her mind.”

I think some of the first concerns are the age of Isabella and what the law says about her right to make these kinds of requests.

It's a VERY good thing that this is making it to the public eye.  One thing Scientology did right for its cause, and also now that is biting itself in the butt: recruiting celebrities.  People LOVE celebrities! People especially love big name celebs, and follow their every move, as far down their family and friends connections the paparazzi will chase.

What does this mean?
  • Tom Cruise is already considered crazy by the majority of people out there.
  • That is already associated with Scientology.
  • He's already the bane of movies, with his more recent roles being played down and big effort being made to re-invent his career or something.
  • Now, his own family wants less to do with him ... because of his controversial "religion," which did so much to make him look so very bad in the first place.
So I'd call this another PR win for Scientology.
