Throughout the entire overly drawn out rezoning process, Galloway has agreed to the condition of (at first) "no narconon" and (now) "To prohibit any drug, alcohol, substance abuse, chemical dependence, and/or criminal rehabilitation programs." We who have watched and researched the "church" of scientology for any length of time, however, know that they will agree to anything it takes to get their way, and will then go right on with whatever it was they agreed NOT to do.
This page, part of the Scientology International conglomerate of pages, demonstrates to me that
they do in fact intend to use the property at 5395 Roswell Rd. for activities related to their narconon program (or whatever they're calling it this week - New Life Detox, First Step, Atlanta Recovery Center, or whatever new name they can come up with, or steal from a legit organization, to hide their connections to scientology).
http://www.scientologytoday.org/press/706162341271_scn-org.htmlScientologists are determined to create an ideal Scientology
Organization in Atlanta, not only to make Scientology training and counseling services available to Scientologists throughout the Deep South, but to provide greatly expanded facilities for community outreach programs such as drug education and volunteer ministers activities to help their great city cope with the challenges it faces and improve the quality of life for all Atlantans.
What say you to this, Mr. Galloway?
Mr. Galloway has twisted and turned the words around so many times now, and contradicted himself so often, trying to get his way, and these contradictions have been brought to the attention of the Sandy Springs decision makers, and now this - isn't there a time when it's appropriate to just say, "No, you've lied to us too many times; we don't want you as a part of our community!"
