Thanks for the crosspost! however I had lots of help putting this stuff together, so the thanks to me alone isn't fair to others who graciously supplied me with most of the materials I used...

any chance i can humbly ask to get the title on this thread changed so it doesnt look like I'm getting all credit, and just label this "Scientology Religiosity? Research packets and dox" ?

bump for latest project update...

Scientology Religiosity? Research Volume I:
Updated 2nd edition (version v1.22Oct2011) released

Scribd: http://www.scribd.com/doc/65916147/Scientology-Religiosity-Volume-I

Fileshare: http://www.mediafire.com/?onu4di1ef3bzmls

Compilation Changes:
Section v1.01 expanded and majorly reorganized. Subsections 007 & 016 added, 003 materials replaced, 009 extended and Volume Summary adjusted accordingly.

Document Description:
Scientology Religiosity? Vol I - God, Heaven, Hell & The Hope of Mankind :: This volume of the Scientology Religiosity? publication series has been compiled to serve as the introductory module for a larger body of materials, and covers some of the basic principles of Scientology when viewed from the perspective of being classified as a new religious movement. The enclosed subject matter reveals the teachings of L. Ron Hubbard and other promotional material from the Church of Scientology on common aspects of “salvation” that is adhered to by the more traditional faiths.

Usage Notes:
The online scribd version clobbers some of the hyperlinks in the front & back matter sections, and lacks the advantage of the bookmarks pane setup for ease of navigation in a PDF reader. So the downloaded version in your local PDF reader is strongly recommended for serious use as a study/reference guide.

Next up... The Materials Index for this project will be updated soonly, for logging all the stuff recently gathered & initial release of Volume II following shortly thereafter.

Meanwhile, there's been other work-in-progress stuff brewing on the WWP project thread starting here:
http://forums.whyweprotest.net/threads/scientology-religiosity-research-packets-dox.93988/page-2#post-1921226

Tons of good stuff for use in future volumes dug up on the OCMB sibling thread here:
http://ocmb.xenu.net/ocmb/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=38941

Plus Related Advance Mag leaks trickled forth, starting here:

Bumpity bump, hidey ho and oh hai folks!

I took a short break (more than once) on this project since the last volume (IV) of research catalogs was published on Scribd. However, I've been plowing ahead on things slowly and swapping correspondence with folks who have a relevant interest in debunking Scientology's religiosity that are currently reviewing the first four volumes.

The next publication, Volume V, is likely to be the most important one in the series since it sets the stage for identifying what Scientology beliefs really are - New Age Gnosticism. Such that I thought it was important to take my time and invest additional effort & study into this one.

So anywho. I still have big things planned and lots of stuff in the works for finishing up this series. You can browse the entire set as a collection of custom publications & related works on the following link:

Scientology Religiosity? Series
On Scribd: http://www.scribd.com/collections/3084764/Scientology-Religiosity-Series

Current project status: Volumes 5-7 are nearly complete, but I needed to finish a sub-project for the custom compilation sections of quotes I include in each volume. In the past, these custom sections were mostly straight up quotes in a given category. In Volume 5 I'm shifting into something slightly different for those custom sections - Tech Dictionary definition comparisons. Sort of like reverse word-clearing if you will, where I take the Scientology definition and compare it to what the same thing means in the real world.

I've been cranking away on this Tech Dictionary dissection all winter long, so once I get Volume 5 published, I'm planning on kicking the first half of series loose for wider comment* while I take another short break.

(*sidenote - I was once floated the idea of getting a dedicated subforum up here on RFTTP for hosting ongoing efforts on this project. So my thought was to maybe ask ethercat if she's cool with hooking me up with a subforum, and then I could have a thread for feedback/input on each published volume, the gathering of stuff listed in the materials index, and the "Scientology Unraveled" articles I plan on writing about my findings on all this stuff once I get the series completed. Comment from ethercat if she's agreeable to hooking me up with a subforum for these purposes, once I'm ready, is welcome at this point in time.)

So needless to say my sub-project on dissecting the Tech Dictionary for future volumes was a hefty task. But that effort is now complete and the finished work will eventually get carved up into extracts by section for inclusion in future volumes of the Scientology Religiosity? series of research catalogs. You can see it / download it from either one of the following links:

Scientology Tech Dictionary Definition Comparisons (short title)
Dianetics and Scientology Technical Dictionary Definition Comparisons: An Exegetical Examination of Variance (long title)

Scribd: http://www.scribd.com/doc/136449275/Scientology-Tech-Dictionary-Definition-Comparisons

Google Drive: https://t.co/MZldfceVzG

Feedback from Ex-scientologists on the definition comparison sections in the above document is wanted and most welcome. But big document is big. So priority-wise, the first two sections (Basic & Medical terminology) are what I have slated for inclusion in Volume 5. Thus, that would be the areas to look at initially if anyone is interested in giving me some feedback on those comparisons from a second set of knowledgeable eyes.

Also, there is an extra section at the end of the document where I have a tentative outline for the "Scientology Unraveled" series of articles. This will be the second phase of effort in my bigger game plan where I plan to write-up my findings from this entire study once the series of research catalogs on Scribd is complete.

Meanwhile, I have one last piece I'm working on for finishing up the custom compilation section of Volume 5 - the usual sampling of quotes for a given subject, except this time around it's much shorter than the previous volumes. Work-in-progress link below:

L. Ron Hubbard & Church of Scientology Quotes Representative of New Age Gnosticism

Google Drive: https://t.co/3lJ89vTkKh

Feedback on the above link is also welcome, although the Tech Dictionary document is where I think I need extra help & input the most.

ETA on getting Volume V done & published on Scribd - ideally, in a week or so. Worst case scenario dropdead due date, by the end of this month (April 2013). So if by chance I get some folks lending me their insights on the Tech Dictionary comparison document, I'll gladly stretch things out an extra week or two.

I finally got the next volume of my series published over the weekend, and I'll get a project update posted to this thread this evening once I'm done working for the day.

And after stewing on the idea of a dedicated subforum for my research project for awhile, I'm thinking that idea might be overkill.

Since this current subforum for "All Faiths Unite" is pretty slow as-is, I think just posting my volume-specific discussion threads and announcements for the related written works that I'll eventually start doing will fit right in here nicely. At most, I might have two dozen or so threads spread out over the next couple of years. In retrospect, that doesn't seem like enough fodder for its own subforum and I can easily organize my stuff with consistent thread titles. So its all good.

More to come soonly.
