Hacker group Anonymous performs 'vigilante' attack on online child porn hub

The 'Hacktivist' group claimed to have taken down one of the highest profile hosts of child pornography - the start of an assault called 'Operation Darknet'.

I'd have to say this is a worthier target than even scientology, and I'm quite sure there are other worse things as well.  The first comment is correct that hackers have been doing this for years before Anonymous and 4chan.  Kudos to Anonymous for their ability as publicity hounds, though, as well as for the takedown.
