Does anyone else see the resemblance?

(1/1)

ethercat:
Does this remind anyone of David Miscavige?

This article: The Seven Habits of Spectacularly Unsuccessful Executives lists these seven habits:

Habit #1:  They see themselves and their companies as dominating their environment
Habit #2:  They identify so completely with the company that there is no clear boundary between their personal interests and their corporation’s interests
Habit #3:  They think they have all the answers
Habit #4:  They ruthlessly eliminate anyone who isn’t completely behind them
Habit #5: They are consummate spokespersons, obsessed with the company image
Habit #6: They underestimate obstacles
Habit #7: They stubbornly rely on what worked for them in the past

Read the article (3 pages) for more information and examples of the 7 habits in action (No, unfortunately DM is not used as an example).  Each habit also has "warning signs" that remind me of Miscavige.  However, these things also remind me of Hubbard.

Question: L. Ron Hubbard seems to have been relatively successful at building scientology, yet DM seems more adept at destroying scientology.  Are these "habits" that don't work in the world today, but they did work in the past?  Or did they never work, but Hubbard had some other qualities that made him more successful than David Miscavige?

Or is the article drawing conclusions that don't necessarily follow the premise?
