Well, apparently the scientologists are trying to create some disinformation, especially in regards to narconon fresh start reviews.

In doing some searches on the internet for the phrase Narconon Fresh Start Reviews, there are some new websites, which I won't give the consideration of directly listing here, but can easily be found that are obviously written by the narconon network, focusing primarily on people who are trying to search for reviews and are looking for an objective source.  My primary focus is one narconon-fresh blogspot com.

In actuality, these review sites are operated by narconon themselves, and they are anything but objective and just another marketing approach designed to take advantage of unknowing and uninformed people who don't realize what a scam narconon is.  And what is ironic, is this page focusing on narconon fresh start reviews is apparently admitting that their type of program is a scam.  Narconon is actually admitting that their type of program is really a scam.

Here is a snippet of actual information on this new blog that talks about "Phony drug rehabs", and ironically it appears to be written by the narconon network, acting as if they are "helping" people to avoid choosing bad programs.  In actuality they are talking about themselves.  How weird.

Quote
Phony Rehab organizations
There are many companies round the town that make big claims about the cure from drug addiction. These claims come with guarantees about the success of the programs and the time limit of the program. However, these people make money in the air because they are involved in the game of advertisement engineering to mould the people’s psyche without giving anything special and concrete in the transactions. They are phony rehab organizations. They are masters of illusion and disillusionment comes when we enter into a give and take with one of them.

In reading this blog post, I was blown away with the fact that Narconon is actually describing themselves, but acting as if they are talking about other programs.  Let's see....a program that boasts a success rate, who could that be?  Narconon.  A program that is the masters of illusion and disillusionment?  Hmmmmm...bingo.  Narconon.

Now let's look at another blog post on the same narconon fresh start reviews blog site, this time warning people about drug rehab scams:

Quote
Many drug recovery programs are exactly that! Now the question arises that what classifies as a drug recovery scam.  A Drug recovery scam is one which markets false statistics, claims, and provides guarantees, and lures them using the aforementioned strategy. Plans which solely focus on a certain type of treatment and claim cure via a single individual method, without providing any verified supporting figures.  This also involves plans that do not provide their patients authentic research behind their treatment plan.
Another type of drug recovery scam includes programs which are repetitive in nature. Such programs are applied to each and every patient. Patients are not given specialized treatment and are not individually assessed. The same treatment is provided to all. Similarly drug treatments that are static and are not changed with changing needs can be classified as a scam.  Just like any other form of treatment drug recovery treatment needs to be changed with respect to the given situation.

So, here we are again.  A program that markets false statistics, claims, etc? Does not provide their patients authentic research?  Patients are not given specialized treatment and are not individually assessed?  The same treatment is provided to all?  Once again, these characteristics describe narconon.

Narconon never ceases to amaze me.  This means that somewhere there was probably an executive meeting at Narconon.  The scientologists all sat around and maybe said things like "what lies can we tell families to convince them to come?  We are suffering financially and people are actually finding out about our terrible success rates.  We need more money!  What should we do?"

And in this possible meeting, some brilliant scientologist raises his hand and says "how about we write a bunch of websites describing all of the scams that we are doing and then end each one with telling families that we are helping them to avoid getting scammed by programs just like us?"

The scientologists all nod in agreement.  A brilliant scam.

Warning people about scam programs like themselves....

Are they insane?

Hi source, and welcome to RFTTP.

Honesty from Narconon?   :o  Do you think they might be trying to discredit the other Narconon branches, not realizing it also discredits their own?

Seems they're following the Hubbard-instilled "projection" model.
Quote from: wikipedia
Projection tends to come to the fore in normal people at times of crisis, personal or political,[21] but is more commonly found in the neurotic or psychotic[22]—in personalities functioning at a primitive level as in paranoia or borderline personality disorder.[23]

This blogspot site you mention, there's a post on it that claims that Narconon Fresh Start has 100 locations in 30 countries.   ???  (<site name>://2013/05/narconon-locations.html)

It says:
Quote
Narconon fresh start currently has 100 locations in more than 30 different countries. One of the primary areas for Narconon centers is in the United States. Nrconon, a widely popular drug and alcoholic rehabilitation program started in a small location in Arizona some 47 years back. Now it has comprehensive list of Norconon Locations all over the world.

What's up with that?  And all the misspelled words?  Even one of the headers says "Norconon Rehab Centers."  It's also in the "Labels" at the bottom (which I guess is the same thing as "tags")!

Or are they going to change their name to Norconon?   :D

Then on <site name>://2013/05/drug-rehabilitation-program.html:
Quote
Narconon Fresh Start Drug rehabilitation centers were called “sober houses” when they were established in the era of 1840s. Since that period, thousands of people have achieved productive and drug free healthier life through these rehabilitation programs.

WTF?

This site was also not written by a native English speaker, as evidenced by a large number of errors such as:
Quote
Narconon Fresh Start drug rehabilitation center is doing amazing job as thousands of people from all over the world have successfully completed rehab programs and now leading much healthier and satisfied life.

Quote
Norconon drugrehabilitation centers are premier ones with marvelous locations and soothing rural environment.

Quote
The best thing about Norconon drug rehabilitation centers is their soothing and beautiful locations and hot springs.

Quote
As the patients are habitual to drugs so the skilled staff continuously monitors them and modifies their cognitive behavior. Personal skills are prompted to change the behavior of addicts towards normal life.

LOL!  Sounds scammy to me, maybe just a bit less so than those Nigerian 419 scammers.

Not gonna point out where the errors are in the lines above, nor where all of them are.  That's what they get for hiring cheap overseas writers out of desperation, rather than writing one good site themselves, and with passion, like we do at Narconon Reviews (and here).

OMG!

Quote
Some avenues that have been exploited by these fake drug rehab programs include the issuance of prescriptions through the medical license of a professional who is entirely unaware of this unlawful process being carried out under his name. Not only is this ethically and morally wrong, it also endangers innocent lives as the field of pharmaceutical drugs are not without their own complications and interactions that the prescribing person should have a clear knowledge of.

Then some rehab programs have been known to overzealously indulge in the carrying out of routine tests more often than the required criteria to assess the progress of an individual or their drug status, thereby overcharging the insurance companies for unnecessary or irrelevant tests that might not have even been carried out at all.

They are talking about Mary Rieser and Narconon of Georgia!   <--:D-->

Urinalysis.  You can justify doing them almost daily and can charge around $150 to have them analyzed at a lab.

What's odd is that there appears to be a whole campaign by Narconon fresh start focusing on the search phrase "Narconon fresh start scam".

For example, a simple google search on "Narconon fresh start scam" yields several of their new blog urls including

Narcononfreshstartreviews(dot)blogspot
Narconon-fresh(dot)blogspot
Narcononfreshstarts(dot)blogspot
Narcononfreshstartinfo(dot)blogspot
Narcononfreshstartblog
Thenarcononfreshstart
Mynarcononfreshstart
Narcononfresh(dot)blogspot
Narcononfreshstartsite(dot)org
Narcononfreshstartnews

These are just in the top 20 results.

Almost all of the activity has been in the last month.  Odd because they are focusing on eliminating the objective reviews using the word scam from the top ten.  Reason I say it's odd is because a family would probably not search for "Narconon fresh start scam" as a first search, or immediately after talking with a Narconon rep.

This shows a lot of panic and last ditch efforts to thwart families from the truth.

This may be why, from:

Quote
Research the facility and program by name.
Include other words in your search that would not be used by the facility in reference to themselves. Some words to include could be: dangerous, complaint, dissatisfied, unhappy, unsafe, scam, ripoff, dirty… Come up with some words of your own, also.

Thanks!  If they want to pass that "How to Choose" and the "How to Research" test, they'll have to change everything about the program and the way they do things.
