Well, let's see...  We know what that one's about:  oo==$$ $O$

This one gives us an alphabet soup of organizations we should probably familiarize ourselves with as possibly good examples (once we've checked them out):

National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers
National Association of Recovery Residences
Georgia Association of Recovery Residences
Georgia Addiction Counselors Association
National Association for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors

Over on WWP a comment was posted stating the Destin, FL narCONon claimed to be 'certified' by the NAATP. I took a look at the NAATP web page and found some interesting names and information. I'm copying my response https://whyweprotest.net/community/bookmarks/?post_id=2155729 over here, as I believe there are Tipping Point folks that aren't WWP regulars who can use the info.

They don't have anything about CARF or JCAHO but they claim to be certified by NAATP.

Ummm...The National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers (NAATP) doesn't certify or accreditate anything. It's basically a trade association and lobbying group. Some interesting names in the membership list at: http://www.naatp.org/members/index.php

And there's also this interesting tidbit regarding their lobbying from the 'Membership Benefits' page:

Quote
NAATP works to solve accreditation problems. When members told us of frustrations with the Joint Commission, their accreditation process and cost, NAATP sent a delegation directly to the top JCAHO offices in Chicago. Armed with the results of a membership survey, NAATP was able to argue for – and will continue to monitor the implementation of ----improved communications, reduced cost burden, responsiveness, relevance to chemical dependency and timeliness in JCAHO dealings with NAATP members. NAATP was also responsible for the establishment of CARF as an alternative national accreditation system for chemical dependency.
Makes me start thinking William Kent McGregor had some help in dragging CARF down the rabbit hole.

Interesting connections starting to pop out of the woodwork.

BigBeard, that must be a non-public thread or something.  I can't follow the link without logging in (which I didn't do), and a seach with "site:forums.whyweprotest.net" doesn't pull up anything.  In fact, a search with these words: "site:forums.whyweprotest.net naatp" doesn't get anything either.

?  What gives?  They don't want this stuff to be available?

Thanks for adding your info here, though.

Doh!  (:E)

My bad, I used the 'Bookmark' link instead of the 'Permalink' for the post. This works: https://whyweprotest.net/community/threads/narconon-arrowhead-under-fire.103359/page-3#post-2155729

Didn't get my morning coffee that day... cU#__

And I hope the info proves useful...
