 Its springtime. Take a break from teh stupid! Here is another video I shot. This time of the year the Sante Fe river in Florida is tainted with tannin,hence the orange color blending in with the clear water running for the springs!

What a beautiful and fascinating video! Theer are times that the 3D is so clear that if yo don't look at the whole scene, you may not even know what you are looking at is underwater! 

I was facinated by the orange blooms of wayer settling in at one point. I thought, from your comment about the tannin, that this was a pollution issue. Curious, I looked on the net and found this comment from "Dom Nozzi's First Impressions of the Santa Fe River, Florida" :

Water along the river is a dark tannin "tea color" due to the natural process of leaves decomposing in the clear water.

Seeing all those underground low lying plants with leaves, I can certainly understand that. Seems to be a wonderful place for the fish, etc.

That one shot of the fish looking with thoughtful eyes at the diver/cameraman, through the lightly orange water, was really cool.

 Thank you Mary for the compliment. When I was filming this,it was really weird to be part in the clear water and part in the tinted water!

 I did go deeper into the river,but the visiblity was very poor. I really did not want to bump into an alligator by accident. I have seen them in this part of the river before,so I am prepared,but would rather see them in clearer water.

 In about mid May the river gets very clear. That is when diving with the video camera reveals some seriously interesting underwater wild life.

 Thank you thank you thank you! Film making as a business is ok, but I really get in a zen mode shooting nature scenes. The outdoors is my "Church" so to speak.I feel closer to a high power when in the great outdoors.

 Whenever I get all tense and stuff,I hit the woods,water or mountains for a personal reality check. As you may have noticed,my youtube channel tends to lean towards my nature stuff as opposed to my commercial or corporate work. Talking heads pay the bills. Interacting with the natural world feeds the soul!

 I,ll just say this straight up and from the heart. It really means a lot to me when people like you all enjoy watching these nature shorts.

 I actually thought when I shot this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IhIBIVXjPrU&list=UUt-bpRnTR3oS4LppVBpWKrA&index=25 it showed the river and springs in a more visually interesting manner. At the 4:30 mark in the video,you see a bunch of underwater plants swaying in the current. That is in fact out in the Santa Fe river. Pretty trippy huh!

I liked seeing the turtle underwater.  I see bunches of them piling up on dead tree limbs that have fallen in the lake and basking in the sun, but it's cool to see how they move once they slip off the limbs into the water.
