Your petition mentions the Tipping Point. Is it required that you be a member of the press?

It was not required in Georgia.  It was not even required that you be a citizen of Georgia.  But the fact that the case was being discussed intensely here at TP lent weight to the argument of "public interest".  Because WE are the public, and we ARE interested.

The Florida law seems to imply that. Either way, someone  ::) may want to drop a link to your petition.

I haven't read the Florida law, but I would be very surprised if being a member of the press was required there.

Disclaimer: IANAFL.  Or AGL, either.

An update from Tony O at The Underground Bunker:

Ken Dandar in Federal Court Today — And Loses Again

Ken Dandar in federal court today -- Scientology (naturally) asks for sanctions

Quote
Ken Dandar is back in federal court today, and Scientology wants him to pay. He's trying to convince a federal judge to stop a state court in Florida from sanctioning him on behalf of the church in what he calls a corrupt conspiracy of manipulation. So now, the church wants the federal judge to sanction him too! Well, we should have seen that coming. Anyway, Dandar's hearing happens at 1 pm, and we'll be waiting to hear if federal Judge Virginia Covington decides to wade into a quagmire of allegations against Scientology leader David Miscavige or wash her hands of the whole thing.
