If you want to upload images somewhere, there are a number of sites that will allow you to do that; some require that you register and some don't. Generally speaking, the ones that require you to register will allow you to leave the images there longer than the ones that don't require registration. There are advantages and disadvantages to both.
Please read the terms of service or user agreements at any of these sites you plan to use, to make sure they will fit your needs.
Sites that Require Free Registrationhttp://photobucket.comhttp://www.flickr.com/Google's Picasa
Sites that Don't Require Registrationhttp://tinypic.com (Will allow uploads from URLs, and also hosts videos)
http://imagesocket.com http://imageshack.us/ (Imageshack will let you give a link in addition to uploading; this helps to avoid clutter on your computer if the image is already on the web)
http://www.fastpic.info/I Picture (in Russian)
xs.to (same as
www.iphotos.net - Interesting to note about this one is this statement in the terms of service: "URLs including the words "topsites" "toplist" "scientology" and "porn" will be banned automatically." Hehe.)
Please add any others I have missed to this thread.
Upload the image to one of the sites, then it will give you a link for the image. Some sites also give you the code to paste into your post so it shows up as an image.
If it does not give you the code, just the link, paste the link into your post, highlight it, and then click the framed picture icon (looks like

) on the left side above the posting window.
Preview your post to make sure it shows up, then post it!
Edit: Added some instructions for posting the images. 2012-10-11 (Hey, cool date! 10-11-12)
