Our web host has notified us of network changes which will be taking place in the early hours of December 1, 2010. There is no expected interruption in service (site availibility) to us, but it is always a possibility when the wizards play with the magic called "the net".
Just letting our members and lurkers know in advance so there won't be a run on tin foil if there is any downtime. No reason to panic - I have every confidence in our host.
Here is the message I received:
Just after midnight on the morning of Wednesday, December 1, a new network connection will be added that potentially may impact network routing for a few hours. This has happened several times in the past few years without any issues but the potential for routing to be slow (or drop) afterwards could happen.
