Good to have the EIN #s.

Some of the above are educational only programs, not rehab facilities. Those make little to no money from donations. They file annual 990 postcards to the IRS so as to not lose the EIN and non-profit status. Some on the list are management entities ( EUS, WUS, etc).

Joshua Hills facility is defunct and shut down. The IRS should take their status way.

As you know, BigBeard, many are listed under Narconon International because of the group nonprofit thing.

So readers, FYI. Look at the address and and then you can determine the Program by it's EIN number

Mary,

At this point I'm not looking at their real world status or function. Only if they are part of narCONon, have an EIN, and whether they've ever filed a Form 990. If there's a 990, I download and start pulling numbers. My focus is on money flow, not function. But thanks for the info re: Joshua Hills.

Nice work, snippy!

I hope you'll be able to change this:
Quote
4  Georgia NN
                                    5  NN Culloden  b. _______ d. 2002
                                    5  NN Georgia  b. 2002?  d. _______

4  Oklahoma - Arrowhead NN

to this:

4  Georgia NN
                                    5  NN Culloden  b. _______ d. 2002
                                    5  NN Georgia  b. 2002?  d. 2013

4  Oklahoma - Arrowhead NN d. 2013

Heck, to be completely honest, I'd like to see the whole thing die or collapse in 2013 right now, but that may too much to ask for.   -0=|

Thanks, BigBeard, that's an important one to remember too, because they almost sound like something legitimate that might certify something.

This was the organization that was pushing the purif to the New York emergency workers from 9-11-2001, right?  And then they moved to Utah, and were pushing it there, but I don't remember who they were pushing it to, off the top of my head.  Police?

This is directly from the IAofDS 2010 Form 990 (I'd love to see those 'Peer Reviewed' studies they mention):

Quote
Form 990 Part III Section 4a:

Over the last three decades, the detoxification program developed by L. Ron Hubbard has been employed to help thousands of individuals find relief from symptoms associated with occupational and environmental chemical exposures. The International Academy of Detoxification Specialists was established to assist healthcare providers, researchers, rehabilitation specialists, writers and others working to address the human health impact of chemical exposures in understanding an implementing this program.

This detoxification regimen involves a precise, non-invasive regimen of exercise , sauna bathing and vitamin and mineral supplements. It is designed to gradually increase the rates at which the body can both mobilize and excrete accumulated residues of chemicals and drugs.
Since the early 1980s, findings from studies, evaluations and pilot projects involving the program have been published in professional publications and peer-reviewed journals, and presented at scientific meetings and conferences. This work has firmly established its safety and its value in reducing symptoms associated with chemical exposure. The international conferences that the Academy has organized-in Los Angeles, Stockholm and New York-have enabled practitioners and researchers from the U.S., Europe, Asia and Russia to share their experiences with this unique rehabilitative therapy.

In recognition of the increased exposure risks that first responders face - whether at inner-city fires, on the battlefield, or the sites of chemical accidents - the Academy established the Heroes Health Fund (HHF) to support humanitarian projects that deliver detoxification services to uniformed service personnel exposed to toxic materials in the line of duty.

Projects supported by the HHF include:

The New York Rescue Workers Detoxification Project, established at the request of firefighters and union officials interested in bringing detoxification to men and women exposed to toxic materials during the WTC rescue and recovery operations. Since 2002, the project has served more than 1000 of these men and women, enabling them to regain quality of life and job fitness.

The Utah Meth Cops Project , established at the request of the Utah Attorney General to bring relief to police officers suffering the effects of toxic exposures during raids on illegal meth labs.

The Baltimore Detoxification Project, providing humanitarian services to firefighters and veterans.

The Ocala Detoxification Project, serving firefighters and other first responders in Central Florida.

Through these projects, the Academy provided rehabilitative services on a humanitarian basis to more than 50 first responders in 2010.

On a routine basis, the Academy also provides information to healthcare professionals interested in learning more about detoxification research projects and pilot programs, and to those who are interested in establishing facilities that provide the Hubbard program.

Academy members provided presentations and briefings to groups including:

The National Narcotic Officers Association
California Department of Justice
Utah Narcotics Officers Association
Utah Chiefs and Sherriff's Association
Utah Police Officers Association
Los Angeles Drug Task Force

Form 990 Schedule O - Organization's Mission or Most Significant Activities

To provide information and education regarding the use of the detoxification procedure developed by L. Ron Hubbard to address the effects of chemical exposures and drug abuse, and to assist humanitarian projects involving this program as well as healthcare professionals and researchers who are interested in implementing and evaluating it.

I counted 14. Anyway, there are inpatient, outpatient, prevention-education-info centers , but there are also a PILE of franchises. Still working on the list. There are lot's of details not shown here that tell a story of its own. The nice thing about the genealogy program format is that at some point we will have timelines and migration maps for these "fkd up rabbitts"   ::)

And thanks BB, I totally agree -

Narconon of Georgia corporate info is here: http://corp.sos.state.ga.us/corp/soskb/Corp.asp?74560
Filings are here: http://corp.sos.state.ga.us/corp/soskb/Filings.asp?74560

NNGa: incorporated on April 13, 2001

If you look at NNGa's paperwork (filings), you will see that a Charles E. Roberts was the original registered agent.  On September 17, 2008, he sent a letter of resignation to the Secretary of State.  It said very little:

Quote
Dear Sir or Madam:

Please accept this letter as notice that I hereby resign and withdraw my service and will not act as Registered Agent for Narconon of Georgia, Inc., Control No. 0117713.

Thank you for your attention in regard to this matter.

Very truly yours,
Charles E. Roberts

It seems odd to me that a lawyer acting only as registered agent would resign like that; it seems like easy money - just accepting legal notices for a company.   M-|V|-M

That was when Matthew C. Hines took over as registered agent for Narconon of Georgia.

Narconon of the South corporate info here: http://corp.sos.state.ga.us/corp/soskb/Corp.asp?183507
Filings here:

NN of the South (Culloden): incorporated on February 4, 2003, dissolved on September 29, 2005.

ANTHONY A. DELUCA, the registered agent for NN of the South, was with the same law firm that Charles E. Roberts was with.  McGuireWoods.

There was also a Narconon of Coastal Georgia:
NARCONON COASTAL GEORGIA, INC.    Current Name

A lot of the NN's are registered in California, even though their physical location is somewhere else. A lot of companies incorporate in Delaware for tax/business reasons. I suspect in some way the NN's being registered in CA has more to do with Cof$/ABLE maintaining control over them, even if they're not part of NN Int.

NN New York existed long before 9/11 came along. I've always suspect NN NY was not happy when ABLE, NN Int, and IAofDS set up the "NY Rescue" detox, instead of referring those people (read $$$) to them. It may have something to do with NN NY having a 'GEN: 0000 Affiliate: 3' coding, which means they are not subordinate to NN Int for any money flow decisions related to taxes, other than what's covered by their licensing agreement.

Some more info showing the narCONons falling under the Group Exemption Letter, and identified by GEN 2595, are lying when they claim not to have any relationship with NN Int beyond licensing El Ron's quackery. This is from the instructions for filling out an IRS Form 990 (emphasis added):

Quote
I. Group Return

A central, parent, or like organization can file a group return on Form 990 for two or more subordinate or local organizations that are:

· Affiliated with the central organization at the time its tax year ends,
· Subject to the central organization’s general supervision or control,
· Exempt from tax under a group exemption letter that is still in effect,

· Using the same tax year as the central organization.

The central organization cannot use a Form 990-EZ for the group return.

A subordinate organization may choose to file a separate annual information return instead of being included in the group return.

NN Int does not normally file a group return, but does identify themselves as being part of GEN 2595. Since their exemption came about because of the Group Exemption Letter for NN Int, any subordinate narCONon must also identify themselves as being part of GEN 2595 on their 990 to substantiate their 501(c)3 exemption.

Which means, any protestation to the contrary not withstanding, all of the narCONon entities identified as part of GEN 2595 Affiliate Code 9, are in fact "Subject to the central organization’s general supervision or control". The central organization in this case being NN Int, GEN 2595 Affiliate Code 6.

If they somehow magically proved in court they are not subject to NN Int's supervision or control they should immediately lose their 501(c)3 status, since they only have it because of the Group Exemption Letter covering NN Int, not from filing their own Form 1023.

You're welcome!

I'm learning more about Form 990's than I ever wanted to know. I just wish there was an easier way to get the numbers into a spreadsheet than manually retyping them. :(
