Arrowhead and bible study
« on: November 17, 2013, 22:18 »
Oh dear.

http://www.prweb.com/releases/2013/11/prweb11340409.htm

Apparently Arrowhead is now promoting Bible Study as an option for their students.  So bizarre.

I was under the impression that Scientologists believed that Christianity is a false memory planted into thetans/souls when they are reincarnated and then sent to an implant station on Venus (?) where there are replicas of Jesus and the disciples.

In any case, a real Christian would never ever consider a scientology based rehab...unless they were lied to and told it wasn't and instead had "bible study".

I'm sensing a shift in narconons adding other tracks like is happening in michigan.

Yes. they are following Wickstrom's lead.
Because they are capitalists first then scientologists second.

Recently, if you type in A Forever Recovery on google a stock photo of people in what looks like white baptismal robes are linked arm in arm overlooking a tree lined and scenic plain  It appears in the search side bar and makes me laugh.

Maybe this copy/paste link will bring you to the pic:

According to Narconon they (Arrowhead) have been offering this for a long time.

Narconon Arrowhead had had voluntary Bible study classes as an option for its students for some years when Rev. James McLaughlin of the African American Church lived nearby. The Bible study went on hiatus until another pastor could be found willing to take on the responsibility

I wonder what religion they will study and I guess they will have to change their website.

Faith-Based Alcohol Treatment
There are many people who believe that they must be in a program that caters not only to their addictions, but also their faith. These programs have proven as effective as the 12-step program, but have a very high drop out rate. Only about 10% of people who join the program ever complete it.  There are also long waiting list and many people decide not to seek treatment or find another form of rehabilitation instead of waiting to get on the list.  Therefore only about 20% of all the people joining have any success.

Either that, or it's a scam for AH to get around the new law in OK with all it's 'faith based' loop holes, while still claiming they aren't $cientology in disguise.

Oh, yeah!  I had forgotten about that!  I bet that is it.  Thanks for the reminder.
