Do what you can... some things are easy to do.
« on: December 13, 2009, 20:50 »
I met 2 older women in line at a Rite Aid store that were talking a little about Tom Cruise and his pic on the cover of a scandal tabloid. They were confusing Scientology with Christian Science. So, I kindly enlightened them, briefly. They thanked me and went about their way.

I occasionally wear my "Against the Cult of Scientology" T-shirt in public.

Once one grandpa, with grandchild in tow, waited until my daughter and I had bought our movie theatre tickets to voice his support on my T-shirt then quickly walked away. He obviously knew what the subject was about and didn't give me much of a chance to say anything to him.

One time at a restaurant, a woman with her BF, talked to me about my T-shirt and she said that she knew a famous critic, but now I can't remember the critic's name that she mentioned.

Another time, one guy passing us in a mall was REALLY trying to read my T-shirt (I guess to get the website URL that is on my T-shirt.

It's all been very interesting. :)

Hey Buddy, Hi!

What IS the website on your anti-scientology t-shirt? Just in case some of us haven't seen it?

Thanks, Sweetness  :)

If all else fails, Rockyj, you can use Cafe Press, Spreadshirt, or Zazzle to make your own T-shirt(s) and pins and so on for cheap! :)

It's just about the phone calls that many exe's are getting.

IMO, they think that handling the former old-time members will defuse Anonymous.
They are wrong. This won't work. They can't "un-ring" that bell. But they are trying to do so.

Please tell us more about these calls from Don (Don who?) to the exes. This is the first I've heard of it.

Actually, this is happening to a lot of exe's.

Here are some examples:

In the real WOG world of corporate enterprise, Davey would have been fired long ago as being incompetent.
But in a totalitarian mind-control cult this doesn't happen.

He can go on and on with the "handle the field" efforts, and calling exe's, but it won't work. If the CofS expects to survive then Davey, and all other CofS upper management, would have to be fired. That's the way we do it in the real world.

Even then... I would never go back because Scientology is pseudo-science.

Read the threads you linked to; I'm torn between feeling outraged on these poor exes' behalf, and laughing myself sick at the cult spinning in circles trying to find "the Why" behind their mostly self-inflicted dwindling numbers and lack of "Wins".

I'm leaning towards "laughing myself sick", personally . . . ;D

Now that I have listened to most of the "Set the Course for Your ETERNITY" DVD, apparently Davey believes that the old Tech stuff, like the LRH lectures, was not transcribed properly... so the supposed MUs and not understanding some passages. This is bullshit.

Of course it's bullshit, and that's all it ever was, and all it ever shall be.  People don't understand it because it's built to get people focused on their failure to understand and that acts as a form of hypnosis, a tearing down of self.

Did you ever hear a song that sounded so cool, and had such cryptic lyrics that you wanted to understand the hidden meaning?  And then eventually come to the realization that there was no hidden meaning, that it was just cool sounds and poetic words strung together, just to sound cool?

Davey has to keep changing and reissuing the old stuff because he has nothing new to sell, and the tech, as written by Hubbard, prevents changing or adding new stuff.

One day, if it lasts long enough, Davey will have made enough gradual changes to it that it will then include Hubbard saying that to get to OT100, one must develop and create his own tech and donate it to the "church."  When that happens, there will be unparalleled expansion!  LOL.
