What is the name of those flowers? I keep forgetting, and we have them by the truckload down here, esp. near the beach. Ours tend to be mostly yellow with red-orange centers.

 Guess if I am going to post a picture, I should at the very least look up what the heck it is in that picture.

 The plant is commonly called "ButterFly Weed" A member of the milkweed family. Real name is "Pleurisy Root" or in latin " Asclepias Tuberosa"

 The lizard is called a " Eastern fence Lizard latin name is "Sceloporus undulatus".

 I got the above information from a series of excellent books I have called  Audubon Society Field guides. They are pretty cool books. Having vinyl covers for field use.

 I got chiggers taking that shot. .:O:. For the longest time, I called the darn plant a "Indian paint brush". Boy was I wrong.
