Harvest Moon
« on: September 23, 2010, 11:25 »
We don't have much view of the horizon from here, so I missed the chance to photograph a bright orange harvest moon, rising as the sun sets 180ยบ away.  But I did take some shots last night, also just to see what that cheap-o long lens I bought a while back can maybe do.

So here's last night's moon:

And some bonus photographs:

Can you guess who this is? :P

The last two are the same, just one's cropped to better show the content.  I learned just how bad the Chromatic aberration is with this lens, that's for sure!  XD  It's not telescope quality, but it's fun.

Not bad for a cheapo lens! Catching all four major moons is pretty cool, too, if that is what I see there...

'til later;
"When nothing seems to help, I go look at a stonecutter hammering away at his rock, perhaps a hundred times without as much as a crack showing in it. Yet at the hundred and first blow it will split in two, and I know it was not that blow that did it, but all that had gone before."
