There are 34 pictures of the Seattle, Washington Ideal Org here:
http://s687.photobucket.com/albums/vv238/anon_drummer/Ideal%20org%20seattle%20wa/?start=all&mediafilter=images

I think it was bought in 2005. and has just been sitting for that time.

Great finds, great finds!

I especially love the windows with plywood ... oh!  And the graffiti! And the long grass growing from cracks in the foundation!  Oh, I love it ALL!

Re: Seattle, I think this shot is my "favourite":

LOVE the weeds and graffiti...not.

I'd be heartsick if that beautiful building in SS deteriorated further, much less if it wound up looking like typical Sci HQ buildings. Especially this weed-choked, cracked and pitted parking / sidewalks, plywood-over-windows, gang graffiti-covered HEAP.

Even their "nicest" hive just got a crappy, cheap-looking sign. Rumour has it that they rushed to install it before a July 1st illuminated sign ban. Only certain areas in LA will be allowed to have LED / neon signage to cut down on "light pollution." Had they dawdled and perhaps done something that looked nicer, they would probably not have been allowed to put it up. So, even though their neighborhood DOES NOT WANT the light pollution of an enormous Scientology advert marring what was once a lovely old building, they are stuck with it anyway. What the neighborhood wants is not important to the cult. EVER. Residents along LRH Way can tell you a LOT of stories about THAT!

^^^ Trufax. Even if the funds are collected for the planned initial renovations, will they be able to afford to maintain the property? I haz doubts.

They DON'T maintain their properties, ANYwhere!

If you are fortunate to see the buildings BEFORE the cult moves in, while they are still under the stewardship of  their former owners, MOST of the buildings Scientology buys (especially outside the US) were, at one point, clearly quite nice. The Nashville and SS buildings were both once quite beautiful, you can tell.

SS now has broken shutters and nasty parking asphalt and grass / shrubberies / etc. that get neglected, and so on. They have owned this building for HOW long? They let it get into the condition it is in now, and they let their other properties go to hell, too.

Nashville gussied up for its grand opening, but they left an open septic tank remain uncovered and reeking less than 20 feet away (on a property they also own), and left broken beer bottles and trash and crap laying around, and tied on those enormous, tacky, gross plastic banners to the perimeter fences. FOR A GRAND OPENING.

In Las Vegas, they rented a tiny little freestanding building, and let it rot and fester and get overgrown. A lot of their smaller "Orgs" are just tiny little niches tucked into strip malls, where the maintenance of the property isn't really their fault, but their own storefronts are dirty and dark and gross.

One of their most important buildings in the Us, "Big Blue" in LA, used to be gorgeous. Now it is painted in swimming pool blue (flaky) paint, and (after several years) the gaping holes in the roof are finally being addressed, and an enormous, ugly sign is going up quickly to skirt the signage restrictions that were put in place as of July 1st. The neighborhood the building is in is not one of the neighborhoods earmarked for exemption from the "light pollution" measures, and, had they dawdled, they would not have been able to put it up.

The videos of the Dallas Org prove that it, too, is a craphole. The grounds are overgrown, the sidewalks are broken, the interior is dank and depressing and so filthy they had to have a SUPER bug bomb treatment (the kind you remove all your stuff from cabinets and closets for, and the kind that chain and fast food restaurants get as a PREVENTIVE measure every six months).

Every spare penny goes "uplines" to the "mothership", the RTC, and not towards paying a fair wage to staff or volunteers, or to maintaining their properties.

Again, they ALREADY OWN the SS building, and LOOK at it, it is a craphole. You can tell it is a neglected and formerly beautiful building. Don't count on it looking BETTER if they get their way and occupy it fulltime.

I got a lot of it, but won't have time to mess with it for a few weeks. :(

Ocala, Florida
Scientology bought the building and prepared to occupy it:

"It's a nice old building and seems to be interesting (srsly, looked through the back windows, there was a hole in the first story ceiling/second story floor, along with the first story floor), but now it's just going to sit there and go to ruin. :C"

But, in the end, did not. Probably due to being unable to afford the rent, or unwillingness to comply with community guidelines, but that is pure speculation. The new owners spruced it up within two weeks:

Sydney, Australia:

Sydney Org:

Sydney Advanced Org (ASHO):
"It's hard to get the whole thing in a pic since the street is narrow and the building is huge long if you include all the berthing next to it."

My favourite shot from teh Sydney ASHO building:

Chula Vista, CA:

Now defunct, probably due to inability to pay bills / rent on time, or inability to get community interested in buying Scientology products. Will ask for information; for now, this is speculation only.

More shots of the neglected property in Florida:

Austin, TX:

Cheap, painted-on signage.

The full building with the "Y" in the lettering and bits of the Scientology cross symbol falling off it can be seen in this humourous video (warning, older people, this features loud ROCK MUSICS with two seriously naughty no-no words in the lyrics, lol, so turn your computer sound to mute if you don't want to hear the audio):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0OjzqhD0UpY

Kansas City:
"This is the KC Ideal Org building. Inviting, amirite? The first-floor windows are completely covered inside by black plastic. It's surrounded mainly by derelict empty buildings about 3 blocks from the KC Power & Light District. It's an old bank building."

"The short brick wall in the right forefront of the pic encloses their parking lot across the street. The one-story building to the left is empty. Between the two buildings is an alley, with security cameras that appear to be operational. There is quite a bit of gang grafitti in the area."

Seattle, WA's "Ideal Org":
(As seen in a previous post)
"Headed to the Ideal Org to take pictures. I'm just going to link the album of that since we took 34 pictures of this crappy Ideal Org. Keep in mind that they have owned this building since 2005. Have they done anything with it? Not really. It's looking more shabby than I remember it from last year."
http://s687.photobucket.com/albums/vv238/anon_drummer/Ideal%20org%20seattle%20wa/?start=all&mediafilter=images

I said that the earlier picture was my "fave," but I think this one is even "better":

But this one is pretty awesome, too:

As is this one:

Wow. They've owned this building since 2005 (coincidentally, about the same amount of time they have owned the Sandy Springs building in ATL, IIRC, but they USE and OCCUPY this one!) and it looks like a rubbish heap. GROSS.

Here's an interesting comment about the Org in NYC.
"Not a picture of our org in NY, but will this do? In the 90's part of the building fell off and hit someone in the head."

OMGface goes here: o_O!!!

The newspaper articles about the Sci building attacking an innocent passer-by with a chunk of rotting cornice stone is being searched for right now.

List of building violations and fines for non compliance and failure to adhere to local NYC law, creating hazards:

Northampton, MA (Boston Org?):

From Nashville, TN:

Scientology's Nashville Org's "outbuilding" that looks like a gutted gas station or interstate rest stop:

NOTE: This is the Scientology-owned property with the open, smelly, muddy septic tank hole in the front "yard" area located directly to the left of the main building. You can see the fence line is a continuation of the fence surrounding the primary building's lot.

Poor maintenance, trash, ugly signage (plastic sheeting zip-tied to the fence/wall out front) and general disrepair:

Shark Guy would like to show off Cincinnati, OH's fugly Org:

To be completely fair, this particular image indicates that they may have fixed the broken blinds since I last saw it, and it doesn't have filthy display windows this time.

San Diego, CA's Org looks like a ratty parking structure:

Again, to be fair, this one looks as if it also has been de-weeded and cleaned up A LOT since I last saw images of it. Perhaps the Scientologists found out that pix of their Orgs were being shared online and were shamed into tidying some of them up a bit.

SIMPLY GORGEOUS, AREN'T THEY?

I think I'm going to go take a trip to downtown Savannah and look at some of the historical district buildings to cleanse my poor eyes from this "aesthetic" onslaught. Savannah has a bunch of elderly buildings downtown, but NONE of them look as crappy as any of these. NONE. All these Sci Orgs look like slum tenements. Horrible.

Please disregard the huge float full of happy gay people, as it is not parked out front of the Org 24/7...though it would probably be a lot more fun there in that Org if it was.

CHECK OUT THAT LOVELY PLYWOOD IN THE WINDOW.

ETA: I see this Org has already been pictured above, minus parade float. I see that the plywood (?) over the window is visible in both images, too.

Washington DC's Ideal Org (snrk) was set to open June 9th. As they obviously failed at that date, it was announced on their ideal org website to open on October 9th. Now, all mention of a date has been removed from their website. We'll keep you all informed if they ever look like they'll finish to invite you all to an opening day shindig!

Anyways, here's the current progress. Very "ideal" as you can see. We believe they may have switched contractors, but we'll have to check on it.

Enjoy their supreme ideal-ness. :) That sucker cost them multi-millions. Doesn't it look worth it to you?

Another critic responds:
Quote
I spoke with one of the workers and he said the first contractor was a demo. contractor.

The demo. contractor finished and left and now the build-out contractor has started.

They are hoping to be done in 6weeks time as of July 3.

Mountain View's multi-million-dollar "Ideal" Org, for which they are already harassing cultists for donations to pay the mortgage.

Scientologist begging e-mail (one of many):
Quote
With Scientologists across the planet uniting as one force, Ideal Orgs can be created in orders of magnitude needed to make planetary clearing a reality this lifetime.

Coming together as a group, we can accomplish more than we’ve ever imagined. Join the campaign that will change the rate of our expansion.

If every Scientologist in our area gifted $250, our Ideal Org would be fully renovated.
If every Scientologist on Earth gifted $15, our Ideal Org would be fully renovated.
Scientologists from all walks of life are adding their shoulders to this campaign, from Los Angeles to Bagdad, this campaign is spreading like wildfire on the Scientology comm lines. How fast can this really be done?

Add your shoulder to the cause.

Quote
I found this flier posted in downtown Mountain View on Sunday.
They'll probably pressure the young recruits into plopping down $100 for this, and be able to get some quick cash. In return for some crappy snacks.

Quote
I've poked around there a few times since last year and the building has been apparently empty. This building is attractive to the scilons for the proximity to many large and small high-tech companies (see below).

MORE lovely Sci-owned properties!

What's this? This is the Mission of Belleair in Belleair, Florida. See, David Miscavige's sister Denise Miscavige Gentile for some reason needed her own mission instead of keeping $cientology working at Flag or some other place where hoi polloi congregate.

Denise Miscavige Gentile keeps $cientology working at the illustrious Mission of Belleair on West Bay in Belleair, Florida.

As you can see from this first picture, Scientology is very proud of the Mission of Belleair.

"Where's the f---ing mission?" you ask? See the pink box right next to JP Nails? That's the Mission of Belleair signage! The blue box is their entrance. The yellow line is where you can walk all the way through and you can park around back. They're a little more proud of their signage around back as you can see in this picture:

Skeery black hole leads to Mission. Has a "run for your life" vibe, huh?

Of course, the back is also where all the poorer $cilons park their beater vehicles.

Another critic comments:
Quote
That place is DEAD. I go by there several times a week and the place is empty. The mission itself is upstairs, over the nail salon or whatever in in there. There is someone working there who drives a scooter. Otherwise there can't be more than about two people in there and I have never seen a single customer go in.

Jacksonville, FL
A "Life Improvement Center" run by Scientology.
Warning, Sci website link: http://licoj.com/

Quote
Well I held my word and went ahead and drove to the closest sci/dianetics establishment. I anticipated a pretty uneventful photo shoot. Getting there was a bitch to start off with. I expected a rather large multi-story office-type building with at least something saying Scientology on it. The place was in a multipex of small offices with a dozen other insurance service one-story buildings.

When I finally arrived I proceeded with the shoot. A few wide, close, and long. The area was dead, but clean and well-kept. Parking lot empty aside from the 2 or 3 cars and not a soul in sight. After about my third or fourth shot, I noticed a couple people to my left in the distant, at the entrance of another office. A man and woman, it was, who were standing there looking at me. I ignored it and continued. And the end of it, I headed back to my car - at about the same time the man, woman, and someone else did. Three cars were heading out of the parking lot. The first two cars passed me, while parked, with no issue. The third car, as you'll see in the picture, did the full stare as he slowly rolled in front of me to stop. Waited. Stared. And reversed. I waited. Then decided to just head out of there. As I pulled away the guy was right on me. He followed me for about 3 miles. Kinda freaky. I tried to get a good shot of him, but this just wasn't possible. We both stopped at a light, side-by-side, and he went left and I went my right. I managed to take a picture before he finally drove away.

In the end, the pictures don't really deliver but the incident was from left field. I don't know if he was in on something or if he just wanted to find out what I was doing there.

Wow. A young girl being stalked by some sketchy older guy just because she took pictures of a supposedly public building on a public street. That's not creepy AT ALL...amirite? /sarcasm

More:
Quote
There's nothing on the site specifically stating that it is a Scientology-related building, but the Dianetics and "overcoming suppression" is too much for me to ignore.

I decided to call this building today, and ask for myself. Unfortunately, I don't own a camera at the moment so I couldn't record. When I asked if this life center was involved in Scientology, I was immediately hung up on. When I tried to call back my calls were ignored.

Keep in mind the Jacksonville is a fairly big city, which as we all know is where the Scilons love to spring up.

NOTE: The front groups DO NOT like being asked directly if they are Scientology front groups. The whole POINT is that they are supposed to sneak in under the RADAR (that most normal people have that goes off with warning beeps when "Scientology" or "cult"is mentioned). Let this be a warning, if you decide to ask direct questions yourself.

Denver, Colorado:

Their current chosen building for their ideal org: Dirty but a nice building; in desperate need of a pressure washer!

Their desired org.  It's huge, has a rotunda, and the LAST of the rose marble from the same batch mined for the capitol building, the last of it mined in the entire world.

Got some more pictures.  These are missions, not full fledged orgs, but they are scientology, nonetheless.

The Montrose, California mission:

The Sunland, California mission, which I read is going out of business if they don't find someone to take it over:

SUNLAND TUJUNGA MISSION NEEDS A NEW MISSION HOLDER!

KNOW ANYONE WHO IS INTERESTED?

Hi,

I'm the HES over at the Sunland/Tujunga Mission and I'm personally writing to you to see if you can help us save our mission. As well as being only one of two missions who can deliver the Basics to upper level Scientologists, the Sunland/Tujunga Mission also has the unique position of being in the area that has the most Scientologists per capita in the whole world! The highest concentration of Scientologists in the world is in Los Angeles and the highest concentration in Los Angeles is in the Sunland/Tujunga area. And if we don't find a new mission holder by the 23rd, we will lose our mission.

That is why I am extending the line to anyone I know who might be connected to people who can help. We are not asking for donations and we don't want to interfere with the building of ideal orgs, we just want to find someone who really wants to take over this very important mission. If you, yourself can't take over the mission, please forward this to anyone you think might be able to help.

Thank you very much for your support. With all this momentum in Scientology, it would be a shame to see us shrink, even just a little. Please let me know if you have any ideas. You can have people call me directly at: 818-653-6768 or they can call the mission at: 818-951-3601. Thanks again.

Sincerely,
Anjuli Hubbard, HES

A few weeks later: Moved, no forwarding address, disconnected message at the phone number:

That's a nasty stain they left on the carpet:
