They've had the City Bank Building property for a little over 5 years now. Looks like they're still having trouble getting the funds for renovation.

And I thought Sandy Springs and Narconon in Atlanta looked like crap!

Looks like a penitentiary.

It is very appropriate for it to look like a penitentiary - it is also appropriate for it to be a former bank building.

Scientology slang for the reactive mind is "the bank."

Bank
The reactive mind; supposedly packed with "overts," or undisclosed acts, and engrams or moments or pain and unconsciousness. Also, anything negative seen as coming from the reactive mind. "All you'll find on alt.religion.scientology is just bank talking."

How very appropriate, too, that scientology is said to "clear one of their reactive mind" or "bank."  I think Hubbard must have built puns into the language of scientology to filter out those not so easily scammed - the very idea of clearing one of their "bank" or of "buying the bridge."

Well, according to an earlier post on this board:

So many of you may have heard the rumblings.  But It appears that the long dormant building known as the Kansas City ideal org has awoken from its slumber to be used as a stopping point for scilons headed to RPF.

So maybe more of a holding cell?

It is very appropriate for it to look like a penitentiary - it is also appropriate for it to be a former bank building.

So it seems that Kansas City has a truly symbolic Ideal Org: An empty bank, forgotten about by the cult itself, sitting right across the street from another bank.
