It appears that June 8, 2012 will be the trial date. The continuance request filed by the church was granted, but it was a final continuance. Although the word "final" doesn't always mean "final" when lawyers are talking, it appears that the matter will go forward that day. http://civilinquiry.jud.ct.gov/DocumentInquiry/DocumentInquiry.aspx?DocumentNo=4648979

If anyone will be in New Haven that day, and can attend please send me a PM. I am trying to arrange my schedule to be there but it doesn't look good.

I would sure like to go, but it's too far away for me.  I do hope someone closer will go and report on it.

Obviously, the wogs in the CT judicial system need to word clear the word "final". The trial date has been continued again until August 8, 2012.

"The wheels of justice grind slowly but exceedingly fine." Once again, the New Haven foreclosure trial has been rescheduled until 2-26-13. I guess Kendrick and Helena have their hands full fighting those bad old SPs in Atlanta and can't make the 1-3 date.  >:D

Yes, it's good to see you here again, skydog.  Maybe they're going to wait till the Desmond case is finished so they can lose it to the Desmonds.   :D

More and more SPs in the Atlanta area are coming out every day!  Even WSB TV says they are getting calls from disgruntled former NN clients.

The case was withdrawn in December 2012.http://civilinquiry.jud.ct.gov/CaseDetail/PublicCaseDetail.aspx?DocketNo=NNHCV106014252S

If someone could cross post this at Reaching for the Tipping Point and WWP, I would appreciate it; I have lost my passwords for those forums. Thanks.

Any party can fire one lawyer and hire another. As to who and why the decision was made is anyone's guess. I have my opinion but no evidence to back it up. I am assuming that the church paid one year's taxes and another was forgiven (from previous lawyer). It is rare that a defense exists to a foreclosure action (you either owe the money or you don't; there is or is not a valid lien on the underlying property). Here, the church filed a counter-claim. In my opinion it lacked merit but it is enough to bring both parties to the table. The courts in CT are overburdened and encourage settlements.

Oh well....
Thank you, skydog
